Episode 21: McAlister Drive

ep-21-mcallister-drive1

McAlister Drive

Christoph, Adam, Eric, Scott

Hometown: Andover, MA

-How long have you been performing and where have you performed?-

“McAlister Drive has been a name for 4 years, before we were originally called Crown. We have sold out venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe Boston, Middle East in Cambridge, MA, Paradise Rock Club Boston, and many other local venues. Christoph has also explored many shows nationally and internationally as a solo representative  of McAlister Drive. This summer we have playing a lot of national festivals, our local residency at the Precinct Bar, and many calls over the Northeast.”

-How would you describe yourself to someone who doesn’t know you?-

“McAlister Drive is a Boston bred indie pop rock band with worldly influences and a natural hatred for baseball teams from the Bronx. They also happen to make stunning music with depth and balance…
Founded by lead singer Christoph Krey and strongly supported by lead guitarist Adam Richter, the band was originally called Crown. The name changed to McAlister Drive (after a street on the Tulane Campus in New Orleans) following Christoph’s experiences with Hurricane Katrina. With a rhythm section held down by Berklee drummer Scott Wilson and Berklee bassist Eric Thachuk, McAlister Drive’s lineup is fully formed and ready to work.”

Episode 21: Donna Kramarz

ep-21-donna-kramarz1
Donna Kramarz

Hometown: Cumberland, RI

-What kind of music do you enjoy best?-

I enjoy country music the best because it is closest to real life, and everyone can relate to the meaning of the songs. My favorite artists is Wyonna Judd because she is a real person and not afraid to be herself and place emotions and life experiences in her music.”

-What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far?-

“Raising my daughter to be a beautiful, independent woman.”

Episode 20: Lisa Bello

ep-18-lisa-bello-bio1

Lisa Bello

Hometown: Boston, MA

-How would you describe yourself to someone who does not know you well?-

“I’d say, “I’m the funniest person you will ever meet, I get along well with EVERYBODY, and wait until you hear me sing!” ”

-What kind(s) of music do you enjoy most? Any favorite performers or songs?-

“My favorite genre of music is R&B. My favorite singer is a toss up between Mary J Blige and Stevie Wonder. I am enamored by Stevie Wonder’s musical talents both vocally and through his instruments. Mary is such a “raw” performer that bares all in every performance and I admire her realness.”

Episode 20: Michael Anthony

ep20-michael-anthony

Michael Anthony

Hometown: Gardener, MA

-Who would you say has inspired you the most?-

“I would have to say my Dad and all the interest he took in me to help me learn music, Neil Diamond for being such a great performer, and Steve Perry for being the greatest rock ballad singer of all time.”

-What would you like to be doing five years from now?-

“Playing music. My dream is to sing Sweet Caroline at Fenway Park for the Red Sox fans, also to sing the National Anthem for the Bruins, to play on cruise ships, to tour the US, maybe go to Europe!”
