g.K. (Greg Knight)
Hometown: Dorchester, MA

-How do you feel about performing on Community Auditions?-
“I’m glad to be able to have an opportunity to show my talent to the world. It’s an honor to perform.

-How did you you first get interested in music?-
“I’ve always had a singing voice, but never took myself seriously until about the age of eighteen. It was then I started to develop a little confidence in myself and reached out to other local musicians and vocalists to try and start a singing group. After years of singing and learning about pitch and tone by ear, I’ve just grown with it.”

-As a performer what makes you stand out?-
“As a performer, I feel like my versatility makes me stand out from the rest. Sometimes people get to know me and they hear my voice and don’t expect me to be able to sing a certain style of music, or even have knowledge of certain songs, etc.”

-Where have you performed?-
“I’ve performed at small venues in Boston and Providence, Rhode Island.”

-What kind of music do you enjoy most? Any favorite songs or artists?-
“I enjoy R&B music the most. Two of my favorite artists would be Maxwell and Steve Perry of the band Journey.”

-How would you describe yourself to someone who does not know you?-
“I’m an enigma. I dont’ wear myself on my sleeve. In order to know me, you really do need to get to know me.”
