How are you feeling about performing on the show Community Auditions?
“I am feeling very confident. I have been singing my entire life, and became serious about making music my career by the age of twelve. I have always held on and will not step until my dream of being discovered comes true.”
As a performer, what makes you stand out? What makes you different?
“I am almost a Susan Boyle. People see me come on stage and they say ‘Oh gosh here we go again…’ and when I open my mouth to sing people are in shock of what I can do. I stand out because my range is above the staff. I have a presence and a peace fator about me. I draw people in and I always perform what I think/know the audience wants to hear; not just what I feel like performing.”
How did you get interested in music in the first place?
“Singing has always been second nature to me. My parents realized I had talent at a young age and they predicted I would only become better as I got older. When I sang at a talent show when I was twelve, someone asked me if I was going to be a famous singer when I grew up. I had an epiphany when I realized it is in fact what I want to do with the rest of my life.”
What kind of music do you enjoy best?
“This may sound cliche, but it really does depend on my mood. My ipod goes from classical to pop/rock, to screamo, to jazz. If I had to pick one general category, I would have to say pop/rock. It is what I grew up on.”
What do you like best about your home town?
“I love the memories it holds. I love the music program at my high school. It taught me so much. I would have been a lost, confused musician without it.”
How do you like to spend your free time? What are your hobbies?
“Karaoke! I love just getting together with my large group of friends. We hae known each other for years an we are one big family. As far as hobbies, I am learning the piano so I can accompany my shows.”
