How are you feeling about performing on Community Auditions?
“It’s a little mixture of excitement and nervousness, but it’s a wonderful experience. Lots of fun!”

As a performer, what makes you different?
“When I sing I feel the music vibrating out of my soul. I love the feeling of knowing that I can give people that same feeling.”

What kinds of music do you enjoy best?
“I enjoy all types of music. I’m very open when it comes to music. I love R&B, rock, punk rock, etc. My favorite bands are Paramore and Evanescence.”

What would you like to be doing five years from now?
“Performing live on stage all over the world on tour, with platinum albums.”

How do you like to spend your free time?
“Dancing, drawing, writing poetry, reading, singing (of course), and having family-time watching movies with my kids and fiance.”

What do you like best about your hometown?
“Weston is a wonderful town to raise your children. It has one of the best schools in Connecticut. It’s quiet, has lots of open land with beautiful trees.”

Emily Morgan
Hometown: Trumbull, CT

How long have you been performing?
“I’ve always been involved in musical theater and I’ve been performing consistently since I was 11 because I’m a member of a dance company at the Performing Arts Center of Connecticut.”

What kinds of music do you enjoy best? Any favorite performers or favorite songs?
“The kinds of music I most enjoy are pop and R&B. My favorite performers are Beyonce and Lady Gaga because they created their own uniqueness through their music.”

As a performer, what makes you stand out?
“I’ve been told I have a mature voice for my age. Also, I’m not in it for the fame, but for the music!”

What is the most fun thing you have ever done?
“Performing at the Madison Square Garden twice.”

How do you like to spend your free time?
“Hanging out with my friends, playing my guitar, listening to music, dancing, and writing lyrics.”

What do you like best about your hometown?
“It’s a small, friendly town and I’m very close with my friends there.”

How did you get interested in music in the first place?
“I have been performing since I was nine years old and have been hooked ever since!”

As a performer, what makes you stand out?
“I love to incorporate American Sign Language while I sing. I feel it adds a little something special.”

What kinds of music do you enjoy best?
“I love broadway and pop music!”

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far?
“My greatest accomplishment so far has been graduating high school at the age of 16 and I will be graduating college at the age of 20.”

What do you like best about your hometown?
“I love my town’s greenery. There are cute shops and it looks like such a New England town. It’s so pretty in the winter when it snows!”

What would you like to be doing five years from now?
“Hopefully, I will be an elementary school teacher with a class of my own.”
